Residents of Walnut Creek, Danville and San Ramon took to social media to express their surprise and shock at the sight of Air Force fighter jets flying low and fast over stretches of the East Bay Wednesday evening.
The jet appeared to be an F-16 Fighting Falcon with air-to-air missiles attached to the wingtips, according to KPIX.

Why was a fighter jet buzzing by just now, overhead? I didn’t know that the tri-valley was near an air base. WTFO?

Yes. Thank you, fighter jet, for waking me up from my nap and nearly giving me a heart attack.

Nothing quite like the roar of a @usairforce fighter jet running drills above your backyard.

Somewhat concerned about the low flying fighter jet that just went by. Literally shook.

The fighter jet flying low around the East Bay is pretty comforting.
