A police officer shot and wounded a man armed with a BB gun in Brooklyn Thursday night, cops said.

The gunfire erupted at Church Ave. and E. 34th St. in East Flatbush at about 10:10 p.m., authorities said.

“It was about four shots,” witness Ronald Williams, 47, recounted. “It was wild, everyone was running from all angles.”

“Male shot! Male shot!” a cop shouted over the radio, calling for backup and EMS.

Medics took the wounded man, in his 20s, to Kings County Hospital in critical condition, officials said.

He was still in surgery after midnight, according to relatives.

One of the man’s friends spotted by the scene and shouted, “The police shot my man, they grimey!”

Despite the commotion, Williams said he wasn’t scared. “I’m used to it, I’m an ex-cop in Jamaica,” he said.
