It has been two days since Giants head coach Ben McAdoo suspended corner Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie indefinitely and he has still yet to address the team about the situation.
McAdoo said on Friday that he would speak with his team “at the appropriate time.”
“We report to work on Wednesday with our sole focus to get ready for our next opponent,” McAdoo said. “Because timing was an issue, the players will be addressed and kept in the loop at the appropriate time.”
With players having to answer countless questions about their teammate’s suspension, why not address the team immediately?
“The timing of the matters played a factor,” McAdoo added. “When you want to speak and address someone you want to make sure you have all the details.”
McAdoo also said he would review things next week and ultimately decide on a timetable for Rodgers-Cromartie’s suspension.
In addition to Rodgers-Cromartie, the Giants will also be without six different players for Sunday’s game against the Broncos.
LB Jonathan Casillas (neck), DE Romeo Okwara (knee), RB Paul Perkins (ribs), C Weston Richburg (concussion), WR Sterling Shepard (aknle) and DE Olivier Vernon (ankle) have all been ruled out.
Safety Landon Collins is questionable and was listed as a did not practice projection for Friday’s walkthrough. Collins confidently said earlier this week he will play on Sunday.
