I also had problems putting the door hinge covers back on. Oh well, who gives a flying f*@k? I left em off, the screen is fixed, and it wrx fine !!!! D Hu January 13, 2018 you should have talked your way through ALL of the steps, you need to provide information, details, that's what Youtube is all about. James Syverson January 13, 2018 Dont forget to remove the plastic before replacing the faceplate bahahahahaha James Syverson January 13, 2018 I think instead of playing porn music you should have talked your way through ALL of the steps. you never said which of the 3 screws to remove from the hinge. You also never informed the viewers that they should be extra careful with the 40 pin ribbon. You also never told the viewers to remove the battery. I am sorry but you fail. J077535 January 13, 2018 Thank you, you're a lifesaver. ThePhilPlays January 13, 2018 Not doing all of this, dislike. Matt Fiedor January 13, 2018 I'm doing the same screen, and it looks like you edited the troublesome bottom section of the faceplate part out. To remove it, you have to pull the bottom of the faceplate upwards. Also, you didn't show how to remove the hinge covers either. You started another edited section with them already undone. This is of little to no help. Hawkeye2188 January 13, 2018 Check ebay for the screens, usually run around $50. The music reminds me of one of the first SimCity games. Philip Jordan January 13, 2018 I wouldn't trust this guy to change a tire on my car. Not an A+ certified technician. bossu mafiotilor January 13, 2018 this is crazy :))) Mark Kaminski January 13, 2018 did you put the 6 screws back in the backplate ? MrRyan2582 January 13, 2018 This music is groovy. Sadly, I think of just getting a new computer. Seems too complicated. Hammer Ology January 13, 2018 I left the hinge covers on mine. Still worked thanks for the video man!!!! Gabriel Gonzalez January 13, 2018 or can you tell me the product number? Gabriel Gonzalez January 13, 2018 where can I buy the screen? milominder January 13, 2018 Great video. You make the hinge covers on & off look too easy, but I would have struggled without your video. Kudos. Edgar De La Vega January 13, 2018 Well that was a while ago but basically from what I remember, I used screw driver with some cloth (to prevent scratches) & hammered them into place. Left no marks/scratches, they're more flexible than they look. Wish there was a less intrusive option though ;/ grifgrif865 January 13, 2018 Where did you buy the screen? Scoville Technologies January 13, 2018 I agree. I am having the same problem now. I am contemplating taking the darn palm rest of to gain better access, but don't want to go that far. Got any tips? Donavon Skinner January 13, 2018 It would have been helpful if you explained what you were doing instead of playing that annoying music loop over and over Edgar De La Vega January 13, 2018 Those hinge covers… WTF!? how are they suppose to reattach? Slide them in through the side or under the hinge? I've tried so many times but I'm afraid to put too much force as they seem to be brittle pieces of plastic.
