Demar DeRozan Talks about ‘super teams’ at Trevor Ariza Celebrity Basketball Game

Los Angeles, CA – July 8-9, 2017 marks the third year of the Ariza Elevated Game & Awards (AEGA), in support of Trevor Ariza’s youth-centric non-profit organization. The game and awards is a philanthropic initiative which supports and honors high school athletes within the Los Angeles community. Ariza, who is a small forward/shooting guard for the NBA’s Houston Rockets, founded AEGA in 2015 with the goal to elevate the lives of underprivileged but deserving high school athletes. The annual community-based basketball game is comprised of two celebrity teams, where one team is coached by Trevor and the other team coached by a celebrity opponent, with this year being NBA Lakers, Metta World Peace as the opponent coach. The Awards, which follows the day after the game, is a ceremony which honors high school senior athletes through a nominated category process. Saturday, July 8th: The Celebrity Basketball Game will take place at Taft High School in Woodland Hills, featuring Team Ariza vs. Team World Peace, with a star-studded line-up of celebrities, athletes and influencers playing in the game. Fans can expect a action-packed game with fun entertainment, giveaways, performances and more.
