Couple sought in Encinitas jewelry store heist

Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a couple who stole $30,000 worth of jewelry from store in Encinitas last week.

One of the suspects has been identified as 26-year-old Lily Coelho. A warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Her companion has not been identified. Officials said he is white, in his late 30s to early 40s, with brown hair and a long, scraggly beard. He wore a black T-shirt and a black flat brim cap.

The duo is accused of removing two Pixiglass windows to break into the Three Sisters Jewelry store on South Coast Highway about 4:20 a.m. on Aug. 22.

The thieves took off with $30,000 in jewelry in a white pickup with a black hood, black stripe along either side and black rims. The truck may be a Ford Ranger or Mazda B-Series, officials said.
