Arsenal 0-5 Chelsea, League Cup 1998

Arsene Wenger opted to rest some of his biggest names for this League Cup tie in November 1998, a decision that backfired spectacularly. This was (and still remains) Arsenal’s heaviest ever defeat to Chelsea and their heaviest reverse of any kind for 13 years. It was also Chelsea’s first victory at Highbury in their last ten attempts. Clive Tyldesley watched the action unfold.
